To practice law in America, do I need to go to an American law school or can I go to school in Canada?
ByI’m planning on going into intellectual property law. I want to know whether I can be educated in American law at a Canadian school or whether I have to go to school in America.

Maybe, the school has to be accredited by the american bar association. ASk the school if they are or visit the ABA online.

you need to look at what the requirements are to sit for the Bar Exam, just getting your JD does not permit you to practice law in the US, you need to pass the bar exam.

The whole approach to law would be different, because American law is based on the U.S. constitution. While you COULD practice law in the U.S. if you studied law elsewhere (if you pass the required tests), it would be much more difficult to do so.

To practice law in America, you MUST have a degree from an American Law school (JD or LLM), or (depending on your state), have apprenticed yourself to a lawyer for X number of years.

You’re going to need to get either a JD or LLM (if you already have a law degree from outside the US), and you’ll need to pass the bar.

Very simple. Depends on the state. Check the State’s admissions requirements.
