Does It Matter That Obama Taught At The University Of Chicago Law School?

By Professor

It was part-time for 10 years. Curious if that matters to anyone, especially seeing his whole take on education.http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/ob…

No, not at all.

Surely it’s an important part of his resume. I’ve just been reading about his work as a community organizer, and that’s very impressive.

He tough them Black Theology

Why should it. It doesn’t matter to obama followers that Hillary went to Yale law school, Which is by no means a slouch when it comes to schools. It doesn’t matter to you that she served on national boards for The Childrens Defense fund, the Child care action, and she served on the board of the Arkansa Childrens Hospital, that she led the effort to make adoption eaiser, or that after the terrorist attack on 9-11, she worked with her colleagues to sucure the funds New York needed to recover and rebuild. She serves on the Senate Armed Services Committee, working to see tha America’s military has the necessary resorces to protect our national security. There is a big list which you don’t care about either. So why should I care about that?

Doesn’t matter to me. Actually, it makes me wonder a little … since all of the college professors that I took classes with who got the highest student reviews, were ALWAYS the easiest professors who maybe didn’t really teach you much, but didn’t give you a hard time and never took attendance. Besides, there’s no argument that he’s eloquent, and that makes for a “good teacher.” The only thing I care about is the fact that he has regrettably declined to detach himself from a 20-year “mentor” who is an outright racist hate-monger. That is not a quality of a leader for a multicultural country like ours in my opinion.
And, quoting directly from the story here “The student evaluations of Obama that remain at the school library (some are missing) are overwhelmingly positive. A reporter was unable to find the four students who said they would not recommend Obama’s class to another student.”
I find it a little suspect that some were missing (like, how many?) and the reporter “couldn’t find” any of the students who didn’t like him. No one can find anything with their eyes closed and hiding in their pantry. Sounds like just another gleaming piece of praise from a non-indifferent mesmorized media member who just wanted to find another way to praise the candidate they want.

That certainly doesn’t elevate him any in my eyes. I’ve known too many professors.

7

no, all schools can hire anyone they want and often do hire tokens for political reasons.

So what, Lots of guys do it to earn an extra buck. I don`t want a senor speaker or Professor type to run the country. Compared to Dr. Condi Rice he is grammar school.
Besides it is a fluff piece.
There is so much syrup on it I feel sticky just from reading it.
Glad you asked

9

He obviously has a better understanding of the law than the whitewater enron dealing travelgate Clinton Cronies Cruption Campaign

No! Does it matter that satin in the Garden of Eden made things sound sweet? same result, a snake is a snake.
If Obama taught there then that is evidence that they have a very, very, low standard.

No.
If Barack Obama gets the Democratic nomination, over 30% of the registered Democrats will cross party lines and vote for John McCain.
Barack Obama is perceived as being weak on Muslim Terrorism.
Over 30% of the registered Democrats consider issues of national security to be very important.
Those Democrats will cross party lines the same way they did to vote Ronald Reagan in as President because they considered President Carter to be weak on Muslim Terrorism.
When over 30% of the registered Democrats cross party lines and vote for the Republican it is impossible for the Democratic Candidate to win the General Election.

12

Only shows he is just another lawyer, dime a dozen
McCain 2008

13

Certainly doesn’t matter to me.

I’ll bet he was an excellent professor! We’ve all heard his speeches and he does a fine job so I would bet his lectures were quite good. What interested me most in the article was that he was teaching during hours that the Illinois state legislature was in session. Shouldn’t he have been doing his job that the people elected him to do? I’d feel ripped off if I elected someone and then they went to another job yet got paid for both!! Isn’t that considered poor ethics?

15

You need some real world experience if you want to run the country. Book smarts is meaningless if you dont have any common sense.

No, but his judgment and choice DO matter!
What do you think the Republicans can and will do to him!http://www.houstonpress.com/2008-02-28/n…http://www.beyondchron.org/news/index.ph…http://www.realclearpolitics.com/article…
